I was just forwarded what looks to be an awesome website of academic lectures called Academic Earth.
What an awesome idea. The site offers access to a first class higher education for students who wouldn’t otherwise have it. Obviously, an online video will never replicate a classroom, but a motivated student could easily learn for-free what many students forsake to smoke weed while their parents fork over hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I wonder if there will be any blow back from institutions of higher education? Isn’t this the ultimate expression of equality of opportunity?
