The Dominic's of New York® story starts with my Papa Felico, who immigrated to this country from Italy, opened a wooden vending cart and sold Italian candies and roasted peanuts at street fairs. My father, Dominic Felico, followed in his father's footsteps and found a market selling Italian sausages from a street cart. Not wanting to go against family tradition, when it came time for me to enter the fast-paced New York workforce, I decided to open my own Italian sausage cart. My sandwiches were so mouth-wateringly delicious that word began to spread beyond the confines of my kiosk in Queens.
