Guru
Guru is a great place to find freelance work. I do like that they allow you to filter your searches by employers that prefer US based freelancers. There are so many freelancers from so many parts of the world and this feature definately saves me time in the project search.
Last year I did have a problem in getting payment for few projects I did for a client. Guru was helpful in assisting me and I did eventually receive the payment.
