Description: UMBC reflects the future of research universities. Young and dynamic, the university is small enough to provide personal attention, yet large enough to provide state-of-the-art facilities and the finest of faculty. UMBC offers Masters programs in Information Systems, Education, and Instructional Systems, as well as, several relative certifcate options.

Total Enrollment:

Accredidation: The program starts 3 semesters a year: Spring, Summer and Fall


Credit Options: You may transfer up to 6 semester hours of graduate course work to be applied toward a master's degree.

Platform: Students complete 34 credit hours of course work and have the option to complete their degree in as little as two years

Geographies: UMBC welcomes students from the United States, the Armed Forces, and Canada.

  • Tech Requirements  Students are expected to have a strong online presence. This includes internet access and some PC-based tools. Windows 2000 or higher required. Students are expected to have access to Microsoft Office 2000 or higher
  • Admin Requirements  Prospective students will receive an email confirmation upon submitting a request for more information. You must have a minimum undergrad GPA of 2.75 to inquire
  • Costs  Tuition is $685.00 per credit hour which includes all textbooks, instructional materials, and delivery of those materials
  • Scholarships  UMBC’s online Master of Science in Information Systems may qualify for employer reimbursement – check with your employer
  • Loans  UMBC’s online Master of Science in Information Systems qualifies for all federal financial aid programs
